We have recently been called in to address the daily floor cleaning within a major supermarket chain. The issues preceding our involvement were, obviously the days of mops and buckets were long gone, so they had moved towards using scrubber driers but were finding that they were causing damage. Scrubber driers are definitely the way forward; however all of the scrubber driers on the market were solid bodied machines which can result in considerable damage to fixtures and fittings due to restricted manoeuverability.

This has been solved in many stores by introducing the Premiere Trek TB4. It is an articulated machine with a capacity of 150 litres. The Trek TB4 can manoeuver around shelving and racking, cleaning close to the edge, without causing damage. This machine won the innovation award at the 2007 Cleaning Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

If you go down the wine aisle of any supermarket, guaranteed you will see a dull, faded pink stain in the floor. Red wine with its acidic properties will have this affect on supermarket flooring.
